International Project Based Learning Opportunites

Picture

A variety of resouces are available to help develop students' 21st Century Skills and to connect them to the larger world.  Here are two of the great resources Mr. Burton has come to use quite frequently as a result of his TGC experiences.  He believes that each is helping to engage his students.

Scoop.it is an online curation platform that allows users to create their own online "magazine" on a topic of their choice.  Mr. Burton is currently using the following topics to engage his students and colleagues:
Each One Teach One, Each One Reach One: Resources to help teachers engage students.  Includes resourcs to enhance educational technologies and global education in the classroom.
Southmoore AP Human Geography: Resources relevant to the study of AP Human Geography.
Southmoore AP United States History: Resources relevant to the study of AP United States History.
Weebly.com is an online website design platform that allows users to easily create their own website.  A wide variety of templates are provided which users can customize with their own images and other content.  The lesson plan Mr. Burton developed during the eight-week TGC course, and linked on this website's "Teaching Unit" page, included a student activity to create a website using Weebly.
